In 2010, the borough of LaSalle launched a future-oriented project to transform the present Newman-Angrignon area into a more modern neighbourhood. Already all imaginable commercial establishments may be found here. A very urbanized residential sector will be added to the Quartier Angrignon project; however, it will be greener and geared toward mass and active means of transportation.
Enhanced by such undeniable assets as the metro station and the magnificent Angrignon park as well as direct access to Autoroute 20, the nearness of downtown and shopping malls, Quartier Angrignon will become the perfect solution for everyone to live on the island of Montreal.
In a few years' time, the Quartier Angrignon and the City's urban planning contributions will have completely changed the look of boulevard Newman, by creating the LaSalle of the 21st century.
Place Alta gives you also quick access to the Mercier Bridge, highways 15 and the Angrignon bus terminal. Proximity to the charm of Old Lachine’s many boutiques and restaurants, the Carrefour Angrignon shopping centre for the perfect lifestyle only 15 minutes from downtown Montreal!
LaSalle’s numerous parks, schools, daycares, swimming pools, water activities, arenas, sport centres, community centres, and hospital offer a safe and convenient place to raise a family.
The Lachine canal boasts of beautiful views on two well-kept secrets: the l’île aux Hérons and l’île aux chèvres, engolfed by the rapids. The Parc des Rapides is a protected wildife habitat, a delight for bird-watchers.
